Al Rasheed Hotel

The Scope

Harlow International was brought in for the renovation of the only hotel in the International Green Zone, the Al Rasheed Hotel, ahead of the Arab Summit in 2012. The renovation was accomplished in a very short timeline and was open and ready in time for the event with surplus works continuing in the months afterwards.

The full refurbishment of the hotel required reconfiguration of all the main reception areas and guest rooms of the building to maximize the space and improve the allocation of the layout to transform the interiors into a modern 5* hotel with conference and other modern facilities.

Our teams supplied and installed all the material and equipment from new passenger and service elevators to new bathroom taps and everything in between. Kitchens were installed fully equipped for service, the swimming pool was remodeled, the water and sewage systems were overhauled. The gardens were landscaped, the interiors were updated with modern designs and all fixtures, furnishings and fittings were sourced, supplied and installed.

In addition to the building works required, Harlow International also undertook the successful implementation of an integrated security system in partnership with Honeywell, providing a single console for central management and control throughout the building. Once ready we coordinated the onsite customized training of hotel personnel, covering all operations and maintenance and our security teams were also deployed to ensured protection of key assets, people and the environment.
