Mazin Wajih was born in Baghdad in the 1960’s and after completing high school in Iraq moved to the UK in 1980 to attend University. In the 1990’s he established Harlow International and went on to win a series of high profile awards. These included being ranked 69th in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 Companies (achieving 78% growth in the first year) and winning the Financial Mail ‘Enterprise 2000’ award.

In 2003 he returned to Baghdad with Harlow International and won contracts supporting a number of high profile sites including the construction of foreign embassies, government buildings and the refurbishment and hotel management of the first 5 Star international hotel in Baghdad.

Riyadh Wajih

Riyadh achieved a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours from the UK. He has a vast experience in industrial automation and construction with more than 17 years’ worth of comprehensive business skills, negotiation and purchasing.
After relocating to the UAE he worked with blue chip companies for 8 years in the UK within oil and gas before joining Harlow International in 2006 as an operational manager to facilitate everyday operation. He has witnessed the growth of the company over the years.

Sang Yim has extensive global experience in real estate development and property management (hotels, deluxe offices, malls and residences) in South Korea, China, the UAE and the USA.

He began his career at Daewoo Corporation and worked his way up to be Managing Director at Daewoo MSC E&C both in Seoul and Beijing. Previously he was the CFO at the Beijing Lufthansa Center Ltd and President at Guilin Sheraton Hotel in southern China. For five years he ran a Wyndham Hotel in Washington State, USA. Due to the extent of his experience and knowledge gained he was invited as an external lecturer to the Graduate School of Construction and AMP course at Chung-Ang University in Seoul.

Thanon Hamza

Senior Project Manager, Harlow International


Originally from Iraq, Thanon graduated from the University of Mosul in 1987 with a Degree in Civil Engineering. His career spans 28 years in engineering and construction in various executive positions within private construction firms.

Thanon is now the head of engineering for the Harlow International group of companies managing all contracts, engineering, and construction activities of the company. He has been involved in the development of the British Embassy in Baghdad, the refurbishment of Al-Rasheed Hotel (5-star) in Baghdad, the refurbishment of the Prime Minister’s and other high-ranking government offices, the construction of base camp for the 100,000 housing units under the National Investment Commission at Bismayah, and currently the reconstruction of the Airbase in Suwayrah.
